Buckeye Partners

Buckeye Partners, L.P., NYSEBPL headquartered in Houston, Texas in the, United States, is one of the primary distributors of petroleum in the eastern and mid-western portions of the United States. Buckeye manages over 6,200 miles (10,000 km) of petroleum pipeline distribution in these areas, as well as over 100 truck loading terminals. Many of the pipelines follow historic Northeastern railroad rights-of-way, and the firm is a surviving fragment of the former Penn Central railroad. [1]

Buckeye pipelines supply aviation fuel to major airports in New York City, and the firm's property is alleged as of 2007 by United States federal prosecutors to have been the target, along with the John F. Kennedy International Airport, for explosion by terrorists.

Buckeye generated $294 million in its most recent fiscal year. The company employs approximately 1200 people.
